How does a princess end up in a tornado? Swept away from the palace, she fights to hold onto her crown, but to no avail. No one can help the pitiful girl, and the cycle of struggle continues till child me has a new drawing idea to obsess over.
Nearly twenty years later the damsel in distress has transformed into great heroes, unsavoury characters, whimsical creatures and everything in between. What remains unchanged is my deep love for storytelling, which I nurture with care.
My art ranges from personal experience and complete fiction. While my personal projects follow themes of home, identity, growth and nostalgia the rest is where my creativity has more room to spread its wings. I always felt aligned with the saying “If you want to see it, make it” so I did. I still do in fact, by using a variety of digital and traditional mediums such as acrylics, oil pastels and coloured pencils. Currently I’m experimenting more with textiles but my long term goal is to work in the game industry.
Why tell a story when you can be in it? Games have inspired me greatly throughout the years and were a place of comfort during a rough upbringing. I know how much they meant to me so I’d be honoured to participate in something that might evoke the same feelings to someone else.
